What criteria did you use to determine the items that people can use to increase their productivity?

Productivity can be manifested in many different ways, but there are a few items that most people can find helpful. Another consideration is the cost of the item and prospective frequency of use.

What is the first item?

The first item is a MiFi wireless hotspot. This item has been on the market for some time, but what is different is that instead of being tied down to a plan, the Virgin Mobile version of it allows you to pay as you go. You purchase prepaid cards that provide 5GB of data usage. There may be some months where you travel more or are on the go. The MiFi allows you to provide internet access for up to 5 devices. So you if you are at work and don’t want to use the network at your job, you have options. This can also be an alternative for those that have phone data plans but don’t use them frequently.

What is the second item?

The second item is a USB multicard reader. This item has slots for your various types of media cards. You can use the media cards in your cell phone, digital camera, and eBook readers to easily transfer information back and forth.

What is the final item?

The final item is a service that I believe that I have mentioned previously, called iCloud. iCloud is an online desktop service with 100GB of disk space. What makes iCloud a must have is the face that you can share privileges with other uses to specific files and folders. This makes sharing information exceptionally easy and since it is online, you have always have access to it as long as you have an internet connection. Like with the MiFi provides.

What do these items cost?

The MiFi is the most expensive at about $100, the multicard reader can be purchased for around $5 at any electronics or department store, and iCloud is about $40.
